Kowirro Terms of Service

1) About Kowirro

Kowirro helps climbers track and visualize their climbing journey. You can record routes, difficulty levels, personal notes, and environmental conditions, and view progress through charts (consistency, frequency, and grade improvements).

2) Accounts

• Registration: you may need to provide name, username, and email address.
• Accuracy: you agree to keep your account information accurate and current.
• Security: you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and account activity.
• Unauthorized use: notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

3) License & Acceptable Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law.
• Interfere with the Services or bypass security measures.
• Upload unlawful, infringing, harmful, or rights-violating content.
• Harass, abuse, or harm others.

4) User Content

You may submit climbing logs, notes, photos, and other materials (“User Content”). You are responsible for your User Content and for ensuring you have the rights to submit it.

5) Photos & Biometrics

• No face recognition: the Services do not perform face recognition.
• No biometric identifiers for identification: we do not create biometric identifiers to uniquely identify you.
• One-time processing and deletion: where photo/text processing occurs (including server-side), content is deleted promptly after completion.
• Your control: you control whether to upload photos or text for any optional processing or generation features.
• No training/marketing use: we do not use photos to train advertising systems or for marketing profiling.

6) Location

If you enable location permissions, the Services may collect precise or approximate location information to support location-related features. You can disable location permissions at any time in your device settings.

7) Purchases (If Any)

If in-app purchases or subscriptions are offered, transactions are handled through the applicable app store and subject to the store’s terms. Terms will be shown at purchase, including pricing and cancellation.

8) Third-Party Services

The Services may use third-party providers for infrastructure, analytics, crash reporting, or support operations. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.

9) Climbing Safety Disclaimer

You are solely responsible for your decisions, actions, and safety.

10) Intellectual Property

The Services and related content are owned by or licensed to Kowirro Team and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

11) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or to protect the Services, users, or our rights. You may stop using the Services at any time.

12) Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.

13) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kowirro Team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

14) Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kowirro Team from claims arising out of your User Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms.

15) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting an updated version with a revised effective date.

16) Governing Law & Arbitration

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kowirro Team’s principal place of business. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration, except where prohibited by applicable law, and on an individual basis to the extent permitted by law.
